December 22,2021 Dr. A.Abdykalykov, rector of Kyrgyz State University of Construction, Transport and Architecture named after N.Isanov (KSUCTA) and U.Begaliev, rector of International University of Innovative Technologies participated in the 26th Meeting of Center for Space Science and Technology Education in Asia and the Pacific affiliated to UN (CSSTEAP) Governing Board (New Delhi, India).
The meeting was welcomed by Dr. P.Chauhan, Director of CSSTEAP, Dr. K. Sivan, Chairman of CSSTEAP and Dr. S.Ravan, United Nations Representative.
Members of Governing Board from India, Bangladesh, Iran, Malaysia, Mongolia, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Korea discussed programmes in sustainable development in space sciences, mitigating disaster risks, global navigation system, geo-informatics, water resources, climate change and emergency response. A. Abdykalykov, a member of the Governing Board of Directors, delivered a speech on behalf of Kyrgyzstan and supported the centre's activities in the development of space sciences, agriculture, water resources and climate change. He also stressed that, despite the pandemic situation, KSUCTA staff have been taking part in short- and long-term training courses online and are successfully applying what they have learned in their scientific and educational activities. In addition, he wished all the participants in the meeting a good, peaceful and healthy New Year.
At the meeting, the members of the Governing Board of Directors of CSSTEAP adopted the minutes of the previous Governing Board Meeting, heard the Director's Action Taken Report, the Recommendations of Advisory Committee by Chairman, and the forthcoming programmes for the coming year.
